Love Beets launches cinnamon and nutmeg product for the holidays
Love Beets, a family-run firm offering premium beet products, has extended its offerings with the launch of Wedged Baby Beets Sprinkled with Cinnamon & Nutmeg. The limited-edition product will be in the market specifically for the holiday season.
The eight-ounce packs of baby beets with spicy cinnamon and nutmeg are the perfect ingredient for a winter Waldorf beet salad. At a mere 80 calories per serving, the value-added product is also ideal served as a snack while entertaining friends and family so they can remain guilt-free about overindulging during the holidays.
Love Beets launched in 2010, when British-born Guy and Katherine Shropshire, husband and wife, moved from rural Cambridgeshire, England, to Philadelphia to share their passion for beets with the United States.
“We are extremely excited about the launch of this limited-edition product, designed specifically with Thanksgiving and Christmas in mind,” said Katherine Shropshire. “The beets are deliciously spicy and are the perfect fat-free appetizers to liven up your holiday feasting. We hope that the range will open up people’s minds to the unique flavor of beets, whilst encouraging naturally healthy eating.”
At this year’s PMA Fresh Summit convention in New Orleans, the Love Beets recipe, “Love Beets Winter Waldorf Salad,” was featured during the Fresh Ideas in Action Reception.
In January 2014 Love Beets will launch “Love Beets” organic juice, adding to its line of premium beet juice drinks.
