TUCSON, AZ — The Fresh Produce Association of the Americas saw a record turnout for its 2026 SWIPE, drawing more than 800 attendees to the JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort, here. Following a morning full of engaging educational sessions, the doors opened for the trade show, where attendees had the opportunity to peruse the offerings from the 67 exhibitors.

The New England Produce Council Inc. has announced the appointment of Jodie Reardon as president, marking a historic milestone as the first female president in the organization’s history. NEPC also announced several executive board and director appointments that will support the council’s continued growth and leadership within the produce industry.

Bee Sweet Citrus’ winter line is diverse and suited for upcoming retail promotions. Many of their available varieties complement events such as the Super Bowl, Valentine’s Day and the Lunar New Year.

The New York Apple Association has big things planned for 2026 and have started out the new year by launching health-focused content and expanding its digital outreach designed to inspire consumers to eat more New York apples. 

“Our outreach will elevate the health and nutrition benefits of New York apples and strengthen engagement throughout the year with the industry’s most loyal followers,” said Cynthia Haskins, president and CEO of the NYAA.

Garlic has been used dating back to ancient history. The Greeks, Romans, Egyptians, Chinese and Indians used garlic as a health medicine noted for its antimicrobial properties. The Egyptians gave garlic to their laborers to help strengthen them in building the pyramids.
