Joolies drives date category growth with Date Pops expansion
Joolies is expanding national distribution of its Date Pops product line into Whole Foods Market, Sprouts, Meijer, The Fresh Market and Hy-Vee. The expansion marks a significant milestone in scaling one of the fastest-growing value-added date formats at retail.
The new placements build on an already robust lineup of more than 45 retail banners, including Target, Walmart, Albertsons, Safeway, Ralphs, Wakefern, Thrive Market and regional independents — positioning Date Pops for continued ACV growth in 2026.
Retail momentum reflects surging consumer demand for dates and date-based snacks. “Date Pops resonate with consumers who already love dates — and with those who don’t typically reach for them,” said Amanda Sains-Harris, vice president of marketing at Joolies. “They’re a simple, satisfying way to upgrade your snack routine with real ingredients and bold flavor.”
Retailer interest has been fueled by the product’s broad appeal, clean ingredients, and convenient eye-catching packaging. Made with seven or fewer ingredients, 100 percent organic and naturally rich in fiber and healthy fats, Date Pops deliver sustained energy from whole foods — no fillers, no shortcuts. The combination of dates and walnuts creates a soft, indulgent bite that feels familiar yet elevated — a snack that tastes as good as it feels.
From Gen Z snackers to everyday wellness consumers, Date Pops continue converting even the most skeptical shoppers into repeat buyers — growing basket sizes and creating incremental growth rather than simply trading within the date segment. The line is available in three flavors: Brownie Bite, Cinnamon Bun, and Lemon Bar.
Date Pops are available nationally through UNFI, KeHE as well as regional distributors, enabling rapid placement and efficient replenishment across conventional and natural channels.
