Jack Brown Produce adds to staff
Jack Brown Produce recently added three new members to its professional staff: Maria Rivera has been named export sales manager; Tom Labbe has been appointed domestic sales manager; and Scott VanHouten will be responsible for logistics.
Rivera brings a wealth of experience from the Spanish language publishing industry. For the last 11 years, she has been in charge of the Mexican, Latin America and Hispanic market in the United States. she hails from Puerto Rico and has been stateside for 12 years. Rivera has lived in Michigan for the last five years and has a son enrolled at the University of Michigan.
Prior to joining Jack Brown, Labbe worked for Jays Foods, Coca-Cola and Southern Wine & Spirits. He has been involved with retail sales, customer service and management his entire career. Originally from Cadillac, MI, Labbe has lived in west Michigan for the last 20 years. He is married with two children.
In his logistics role, VanHouten will be managing both inbound and outbound freight. A veteran of the ag-chemical industry, he previously managed the local Crop Production Services facility where he was also responsible for shipping, inventory, and sales.
