Intimate atmosphere a plus for Domex and customers
Howard Nager, vice president of marketing for Domex Superfresh Growers in Yakima, WA, said the working atmosphere at the Canadian Produce Marketing Association’s Annual Convention and Trade Show can’t be beat.
“The CPMA is a great venue for promoting Canadian business for Domex Superfresh Growers,” he told The Produce News. “Canada is a very good export market for apples, pears and cherries. And this show gives us a terrific opportunity to address the business at hand while also socializing with our customers in a friendly, inviting and non-confrontational venue. The show is not too big, nor too small. But allows us to spend the necessary time with buyers, merchandisers and key decision makers.”
Domex will be represented by Nager, Vice President of Sales Tim Lane, Account Managers Mike Preacher and Dan Harrington, and Marketing and Communications Manager Loren Queen at Booth No. 613.
Nager said opportunities are still ripe to market the balance of the company’s apple volume during the spring and summer months.
“The same is true for the remaining pears,” he added. “Cherry season is right around the corner. And given its significance to the retailers, that will be a huge topic to discuss as well.”
Domex also plans to talk about its proprietary apple, the Autumn Glory, as well as some additional packaging options and plans during the convention.
