Albertsons Cos. Inc. launched its patent-pending Intelligent Quality Control tool, an AI-powered solution that uses computer vision to support the ability of distribution center associates to maintain high standards for quality and consistency of fresh fruits and vegetables across the company’s supply chain. 

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has filed an administrative complaint against Ganfer Fresh LLC. The company, operating out of Arizona, allegedly failed to make payment promptly to 36 produce sellers in the amount of $3.775 million from May 2024 through February 2025, in violation of the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act.

Amazon.com Inc. announced the rollout of its ultra-fast delivery service Amazon Now to dozens of cities and millions of customers across the U.S. Amazon Now, which provides thousands of fresh groceries, everyday household essentials and locally relevant items in about 30 minutes or less, is now widely available in Atlanta, Dallas-Fort Worth, Philadelphia and Seattle, and is rapidly expanding in dozens more cities, including Austin, Houston, Minneapolis, Orlando, Phoenix, Denver and Oklahoma City.
