Most recently, Mr. Puglia was a vice president at APCO Worldwide, a leading issues-management and media-relations consulting firm. His expertise and professionalism are widely known and respected in the offices of the state capital.

WASHINGTON - Sprouts continue to cause foodborne illnesses, despite the fact that the Food & Drug Administration released safety guidelines for the industry six years ago. Now FDA is holding a public meeting next month to start the process of writing mandatory regulations to stem the number of sprout-related outbreaks.

Chile's clementine traders are keen to place their fruit for the first time this year in the U.S. market, hopeful that their fast-growing clementine deal will be as well received by U.S. consumers as it has been by European consumers. Produce Safety & Security International Inc., based in Toronto, announced that it has reached a marketing agreement with O.H. Trading Corp. for fruits, vegetables and olive oil from South America, South Africa, Europe and New Zealand.
