The New England Produce Council’s Produce, Floral & Food Service Expo will be celebrating its silver anniversary as the show turns 25 this year. The annual event, a favorite among those in the produce industry, will be held at the Encore Boston Harbor for two days, Aug. 18-19, with a theme of being By the Sea.

Eagle Eye Produce has started its new crop shipping season from its facilities in Idaho, Oregon and Washington. Reports from the field point to strong quality, good sizing and stable supplies across both potatoes and onions. With harvest under way across Idaho and the Pacific Northwest, and expected to continue through October, the season is off to a strong start.

Brad Moorer, CEO of MBG Marketing, died Aug. 7, 2025. 

Mr. Moorer proudly served MBG Marketing, a domestic blueberry and blackberry cooperative that sells its fruit under the Naturipe Farms label, and its growers for nearly 15 years. He started his career as chief financial officer and vice president of value added business before being promoted in 2022 to the position of CEO.

Under his leadership, MBG Marketing strengthened and expanded its Berry Blue genetics program and its focus on the development of new and improved blueberry varieties.

The winners of the 2024 Garden Rose Design Contest visited Alexandra Farms in March, where they immersed themselves in Colombian culture through farm tours, discussions, presentations and design opportunities.
