As temperatures continue to rise in California’s Central Valley, the Bee Sweet Citrus team has turned its focus to Star Ruby grapefruit as a key player in the company’s spring citrus line.

“The eating quality of our Star Ruby grapefruit has been nothing short of excellent,” said Bee Sweet Citrus Vice President of Farming Keith Watkins. “As the season continues to change, we’ve seen a rising demand for grapefruit and we’re positive that shoppers will be satisfied with its taste and quality.”

The New York Apple Association’s new poster — Partners in Pollination — is ready for distribution for schools. The full-color poster explains how New York State is home to more than 450 wild pollinators and how apple trees need pollen from different apple trees to produce fruit.

“We started packing on March 20 in a very light way,” said Carlos Bon, vice president of sales for the Nogales, AZ-based company, noting that the main window for Jalisco grapes is in the April 15 to May 15 time frame.
