Members of the International Fresh Produce Association traveled to McAllen, TX, as part of their Fresh Impact Tour program, hosted by Fox Packaging last May. This program allows IFPA to travel to member facilities, meeting them where they are, making connections and discussing the issues locally and regionally that impact their area.

The Michigan asparagus season concluded one week earlier than usual with ample volume available for summer festivities. To drive sales, the Michigan Asparagus Advisory Board enacted marketing strategies, including retail promotions, influencer marketing and digital campaigns that further emphasized the importance of buying local and how that translates into supporting communities one spear at a time.

In 2023, the California total table grape crop was valued at $2.3 billion, making table grapes one of the most valued crops in the state. Roger Collins, former chairman and CEO of Harps Food Stores, died July 1. His tenure at the company was marked by remarkable growth and success.

Mr. Collins began his illustrious career at Harps in December of 1986. At that time, the company was in dire need of a great vice president of finance, and Mr. Collins proved to be the answer to its prayers. From his initial role, he quickly became an integral part of shaping the future of Harps.
