Basciani Foods has been in the mushroom biz since 1925. The fifth-generation company grows all sizes of white mushrooms and exotics.
The Avondale, PA-based company packs for national retail grocery store chains, restaurant chains and foodservice distributors. It has processing and storage facilities in Chicago, Orlando and Minneapolis, and ships more than a million pounds of mushrooms per week.
Eastern sweet corn prices are dropping on a lighter demand as local grower’s supply retailers with fresh harvested product. Corn can be ordered in wooden crates and bins for retailers to set up some nice farm type displays.
