Greenhouse Produce Co. to finalize marketing team
Recently formed Greenhouse Produce Co. LLC in Mission, TX, has finalized its marketing team with the addition of three experienced produce professionals.
For the Western region of the United States, sales will be handled by Los Angeles native Glen Bezanson, who brings over 20 years of experience in the greenhouse industry to the company. Mr. Bezanson, who started his career as a grower in the San Joaquin Valley, worked in sales for Westlake Inc. and joined Eurofresh in 1999 as Western sales manager, is considered a pioneer in the introduction of "on-the-vine" tomatoes to retailers in Southern California.
For the Eastern region of the United States, sales will be handled by Gary Tozzo, who will be based in his new position out of Kennett Square, PA. Mr. Tozzo started his produce career at Moonlight Mushrooms, where he broadened his perspective on packaging and logistics. He has an excellent knowledge base in greenhouse produce built on his 13 years with Eurofresh, where he was responsible for sales and profitability as its Eastern sales manager.
Sales and marketing for the national accounts in the United States will be handled by Dwayne Cannon, who has been in the produce industry since 1975, when he joined United Grocers in Oregon. He has worked for Sunkist and most recently was with Seald Sweet as a senior sales manager, where he focused on program sales and category management.
Greenhouse Produce Co. LLC will be marketing all greenhouse products on a year-round basis grown by the three independent producers representing over $40 million in annual sales. The new team's primary objective will be to close the gap between the farm and the consumer with this new and unique venture.
