Produce was quite literally front and center at Bozzuto's Independent Retailer Conference, with a massive produce display greeting attendees as they entered the trade show floor. This year's event, held March 5-6 in Uncasville, CT, took place at Mohegan Sun for the third year.

WF&FSA was back in Miami, FL for the 2024 Floral Distribution Conference. This year's conference was filled with new networking opportunities and plenty of time to connect and discuss business with floral industry colleagues. The Floral Distribution Conference Exhibit Hall also featured stunning and creative floral products and supplies from WF&FSA members. 

United Natural Foods Inc. announced that Giorgio (Matteo) Tarditi has been named president and chief financial officer, effective April 15. He succeeds John W. Howard, UNFI’s current CFO, who will leave the company following the transition period.

The Alliance for Sustainable Packaging for Foods said it applauds the science- and data-driven approach that the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre has undertaken to conduct a life cycle analysis of reusable and single-use packaging for certain consumer uses including food applications. This data-driven method can serve as an example for approaching regulatory decision making when environmental trade-offs are considered.
