From those early days, our passion for agriculture and commitment to quality has helped us evolve into one of the most dynamic farming operations in the Southeast.

Through decades of dedication, and yes, our fair share of trials and learning experiences, we’ve cultivated a business built on resilience, responsibility, and results. Today, Bottomley Farms operates across more than 40,000 acres spanning the stunning Blue Ridge Mountains of Northwest North Carolina and Southwest Virginia. This unique location provides us access to three distinct climate zones, allowing us to extend our growing season and deliver fresh, high-quality produce from May through November.

Diversity in Agriculture – From Field to Table

While our foundation began with cabbage, our passion for farming led us to explore a broad range of crops. We now proudly grow:

• Over 1,500 acres of sweet corn
• Over 1,200 acres of Cabbage
• Nearly 600 acres of leafy greens including kale,collards, mustard, and turnip greens
• A variety of organic vegetables, such as red and greencabbage, and red, green, and black kale
• Premium broccoli, cilantro, beets, parsley (Italian and curly) and radishes

We are proud to meet the growing demand for organic produce while continuing to serve our customers with the freshness and consistency they expect.

More Than Just Veggies

Bottomley Farms isn’t just about vegetables. We’re a vertically integrated agricultural business that also:

• Plants over 1.4 million Fraser fir trees annually for our Christmas tree operations
• Manages 5,000 acres of carving pumpkins
• Raises over 20,000 head of cattle
• Produces 7,000 acres of field corn

This level of diversity allows us to sustain our land, create year-round employment opportunities, and provide a wide array of high-quality products to customers across the country.
