Fresh Taste looking forward to conversations at IFPA Global
For more than six generations, Fresh Taste Produce has built its reputation as a trusted importer, grower and distributor of high-quality fruits and vegetables.
Headquartered in Ontario, Canada, with an expanding presence in the United States, the family-owned company sources from more than 45 countries to ensure a diverse and reliable supply of fresh produce year-round. From citrus and stone fruit to tropicals and specialty vegetables, Fresh Taste has become a go-to partner for wholesalers, retailers, restaurants and institutions across North America.
The company is looking forward to attending the IFPA Global Produce & Floral Show and meeting with others in the industry.
“IFPA is a great opportunity for us to connect with world-class growers, try out new innovative products and take a look at what our competitors are up to,” said Tara Glazer, head of marketing for the company. “The industry brings its best to the IFPA show.”
Regenerative farming is a budding movement that those at Fresh Taste are observing, as are innovative approaches to food accessibility such as vertical farming and urban/rooftop agriculture.
“One trend that we do leverage across all our Fresh Taste brands is innovation in val-ue-add packaging and processing, which can make consuming pro-duce fun and novel for consumers,” Glazer said.
At the show, the Fresh Taste team expects to be talking about emerging brands shaking up the industry, those taking calculated risks and those leveraging old-school principles and progressive business thinking to push the industry forward.
“The industry is constantly breathing in new challenges and breathing out innovative practices and new avenues to growth, all this is accomplished by collaboration and valuable conversations,” Glazer said. “What makes the produce industry thrive is its people, in all disciplines, from growing and operations, sales, marketing, retail and regulatory, and you will find all of these people and more at the IFPA.”
For Glazer, a successful show is one with open collaboration and valuable conversations where new ideas emerge out of, but sometimes in conjunction with old-school thinking.
“We see new ideas and we are inspired by them, but let’s be honest we also take the time to constructively, sometimes heavily critique them and find ways to build on them,” Glazer said. “That is the value of being among our industry peers at this show and pushing the industry forward together.”
One of the things that sets Fresh Taste apart is its blend of tradition and innovation. While rooted in long-standing grower relationships and family values, the company continues to invest in state-of-the-art storage, cooling and sustainability initiatives to maintain top quality and reduce its environmental footprint.
“Fresh Taste has been ‘Bringing the World to the Table’ one groundbreaking project at a time for over a century,” Glazer said. “In our immediate future, we will again be investing in our own infrastructure to continue our commitment to bringing consumers the freshest, most innovative products to suit their evolving palates.”
By offering customized programs, hands-on service and a deep commitment to food safety and traceability, Fresh Taste Produce has earned its place as a leader in the produce industry, one that combines global reach with a personal touch.
