Bailey Nurseries grows sales team
Bailey Nurseries announced several additions and promotions within its sales organization, expanding its leadership team and regional coverage as the company continued to grow its reach and partnerships.
AJ Lambert was appointed chief sales officer, strengthening the company’s executive leadership. Dan Heintz was promoted to sales manager for mass merchant accounts, and Bret Poi and Rhett Pasour joined the company as territory sales representatives serving the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions, respectively.
Lambert brought more than 20 years of sales leadership experience, including more than a decade in horticultural logistics and the live-goods supply chain. He most recently served as chief commercial officer at Container Centralen (CC Racks). At Bailey, Lambert assumed responsibility for leading the sales organization, with a focus on customer relationships, market expansion and advancing the company’s mission within the horticulture industry. Lambert said he was honored to join a company with a strong legacy and purpose and looked forward to contributing to its next phase of growth and collaboration.
Heintz joined Bailey 24 years earlier as an inside sales representative and later served as a territory sales representative working exclusively with mass merchant accounts. In his new role, Heintz led the team supporting those customers, drawing on his experience to strengthen relationships, collaboration and data-driven decision-making. Heintz said he looked forward to continuing to work with the sales team to address challenges and opportunities while delivering the plants Bailey was known for.
The company also added two territory sales representatives. Poi brought more than 30 years of experience across the green industry and partnered with customers in the Northeast, including those in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Quebec and Nova Scotia. Pasour earned a bachelor’s degree in horticultural science and plant biology and gained experience in both retail and grower operations before joining Bailey. He worked with customers in the Mid-Atlantic region, including Delaware, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia.
Jorge Becerra, CEO of Bailey Nurseries, said Lambert’s experience and perspective would help shape the company’s future. He also noted that Heintz’s promotion and the additions of Poi and Pasour strengthened Bailey’s ability to serve customers across key regions and positioned the company to meet evolving partner needs across all channels.
