The active weather patterns continue to impact production and quality across the U.S. and Mexico as we move into summer. Out west the heat wave continues in the interior valleys of California and the Southwest as the strong high-pressure ridge remains in place. Temperatures look to peak over the weekend with some relief expected around the middle of next week.

Goldenberry Farms expanded its Sugar Mango miniature mango brand with a new recyclable consumer retail pack.

The pack, developed at the request of retailers, allows this specialty mango to be showcased and priced with a UPC code, allowing consumers to easily differentiate and learn about this unique item.

California-based Calavo Growers is celebrating its Peruvian partner, The Viru Group, to commemorate their alliance and milestone anniversaries. Viru, a leading international food group marking its 30th anniversary, has been Calavo's supplier of Peruvian avocados since 2015.

“When I first started working for Trucco, we were a small, dried fruit and nut company,” said Tony Biondo, a Trucco Inc. sales representative of more than 20 years.

The online grocery market totaled $6.8 billion in sales for May 2024, a 0.4 percent dip versus last year. Despite a year-over-year gain in overall monthly active users (MAU), sales growth was restrained by a pullback in order frequency across all receiving methods versus last year, according to the latest Brick Meets Click/Mercatus Grocery Shopper Survey.
