Exhibitors to vie for 'Best of Show' title
This year, exhibitors at the Produce Marketing Association's Fresh Summit will vie for the title of "Best of Show," and the winner will be formally announced at the general session on Monday, Oct. 27. Judging will be conducted by a mystery team of industry professionals, who will award first and second- place prizes in two categories: in-line booth (10 feet deep and any length); and island booth (20 x 20 feet or larger).
Booths will be judged on the following criteria:
Booth presentation: Integration of company identity in booth design, design and graphic elements, clearly communicates company message and adherence to show rules and exhibitor guidelines.
Product presentation: Product displays and benefit messaging.
Exhibit personnel: Professional appearance and etiquette, engagement with visitors and adequate staffing.
First place winners receive an announcement on the show floor; recognition during the Monday general session including a digital photo of their booth; two seats at a VIP table during the Monday general session; recognition in a PMA press release; recognition on PMA's web site including pictures of the booth; one complimentary full registration to Fresh Summit 2009; a $250 GES credit for 2008 fees; and a Best of Show plaque.
Second Place winners receive an announcement on the show floor; recognition during the Monday general session; two seats at a VIP table during the Monday general session; recognition on PMA's web site; one complimentary daily pass to Fresh Summit 2009; and a Best of Show plaque. All exhibitors are encouraged to consider this contest when planning their Fresh Summit booth presence.
