Duda Farm Fresh Foods Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Oviedo, FL-based A. Duda & Sons Inc., has named two new directors to its fresh produce sales team. Ed Scurich has been hired as director of foodservice sales, and Bill Munger is now director of fresh-cut sales.
"We are pleased to welcome Ed Scurich to our sales team and congratulate Bill Munger on his new position," Rick Alcocer, vice president of sales for Duda Farm Fresh Foods, said in a statement. "These appointments will allow us the flexibility to better respond to our customers in both the foodservice and fresh-cut sales areas."
Mr. Scurich was hired May 1 to fill the newly created position of director of foodservice sales. In this capacity, he will represent the company's fresh vegetable and citrus products to national foodservice broad liners, regional foodservice distributors and foodservice wholesalers across the United States and Canada. He will be based in the company's Salinas, CA, office and report to Mr. Alcocer.
Mr. Scurich has over 12 years experience in the produce business with an emphasis on foodservice. He is a graduate of the University of Santa Clara, where he earned a bachelor of arts degree in communication.
Formerly manager of foodservice sales for Duda Farm Fresh Foods, Mr. Munger will now serve as director of fresh-cut sales. In this newly created position, he will concentrate on sales for the company's retail and foodservice product lines produced at its Oxnard, CA, facility. He will continue to report to Mr. Alcocer and work at the company's Salinas, CA, office.
Mr. Munger has been employed with A. Duda & Sons Inc., the parent company, since 1999. He is a past president of the Salinas Valley Lettuce Co-op. He holds a bachelor of science degree in agriculture business management from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo.
