NOGALES, AZ — Calixtro Distributing Co.

Malena Produce Inc., which is located in the Rio Rico Industrial Park just north of Nogales, AZ, has added 15,000 square feet of cold-storage space to the company’s warehouse, according to Gonzalo Avila, vice president and general manager. Racking has been installed in 10,000 square feet of the new addition.

NOGALES, AZ — Jorge (George) Gotsis Cevallos, owner and president of Omega Produce Co. Inc., here, has been working in the West Mexico produce business for 65 years and has been with Omega for 50 years.

He first began to work for Omega, his sister’s company at the time, in 1951. He then became a partner, and he began buying the remaining shares in 1961.

FRESNO, CA — Crown Jewels Produce, which is headquartered here and has a branch office in Nogales, AZ, expects an expanded program out of Nogales this year with an increase of 30-40 percent over last year, according to Atomic Torosian, a partner in the company.
