The American Institute of Floral Designers has scheduled Pim van den Akker, a noted Dutch designer, for a return performance at its 2012 annual symposium in Miami. The show will run July 12-16 at the Hyatt Regency Miami Hotel, according to a news release. Mr. van den Akker drew a large crowd at the group’s 2011 meeting.

The theme for the show is “Caliente,” which means “hot” in Spanish. All activities will take place in the hotel and the adjoining Miami Convention Center. Hundreds of AIFD volunteers will help stage the show.
