Table grape harvest in California’s San Joaquin Valley started the last week of June for some growers, and reports from the vineyards are positive.

The weather has been working in growers’ favor, said Ian LeMay, president and CEO of the California Table Grape Commission, Fresno, with some growers in the southern San Joaquin Valley harvesting in late June.

The Colombia Avocado Board announced the launch of the Avocados From Colombia brand in the United States. 

The debut comes at a pivotal time for the industry as shipments of Colombian avocados to the U.S. have reached their highest volume to date with 85 million pounds in the first half of 2025 — more than double the previous mid-year record of 41 million pounds set in 2024.  

The Delaware River port system is one of the busiest in the nation, as the region is a major receiving point for goods from around the globe. But it is incumbent on port operators to continually invest in infrastructure improvements to ensure efficiency for existing clients and to attract new business.

Tropical activity continues in the Eastern Pacific as Hurricane Flossie weakens and moves offshore near southern Baja over the next few days. Another system is likely to develop into a tropical depression near southwestern Mexico next week. Meanwhile in the Gulf of Mexico another tropical system is anticipated to form off the gulf coast of Florida over the weekend into early next.
