Village Farms Greenhouse Grown has promoted Steve Poklemba, currently director of national sales, to his new role as director of global supply chain management for its Fresh Division.  In Poklemba’s new role he will be instrumental in vigorous company initiatives targeting expanding top line revenue. 

Shortly after the company’s public launch in early 2021, Pure Green Farms employed Jim Marcum to lead its efforts in establishing new retail partners in the Midwest. Now settled into his latest role, Marcum continues to assist Pure Green Farms with gaining new business, as well as evolving its sales strategy and managing industry relationships.

Naturipe announced the debut of its new greenhouse strawberries from Mexico. Naturipe Berry Growers, an owner of Naturipe Farms, has partnered in a strawberry greenhouse project based in central Mexico.

The project is in its first full acreage production and is a partnership between Naturberry and Berry Hill (grower Ignacio Castillo and his son Ignacio Castillo Jr.). The new strawberry greenhouse project focuses on utilizing pioneering technologies to grow strawberries.

A well-known veteran of the produce industry has joined the team at Mastronardi Produce to help support its recently expanded western business operations. The company has announced that JC Myers has joined as senior director of West Coast operations.
