The California Avocado Commission has promoted Ken Melban to vice president of industry affairs and operations. A produce veteran with extensive experience, Melban joined the commission in 2011 as director, issues management. In 2015 he was promoted to vice president, industry affairs.

Avocados From Mexico is kicking off its national shopper marketing campaign for the big game featuring football legend, Deion Sanders and his fiancée, award-winning TV and film producer Tracey Edmonds. Because the big game deserves the tastiest promotion ever, the couple partnered with Avocados From Mexico to create their favorite guac recipes, and the brand is inviting shoppers to vote for their favorite in the Tasty Good vs Good Fat Delish showdown.

The California Avocado Commission team is in final preparation mode for the much-anticipated International Fresh Produce Association’s Global Produce & Floral Show that will be held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL. The show will take place Oct. 26-29, and commission representatives will be available throughout the event and in booth No. 2343 on the expo days.
