The Eastern Produce Council is excited to host its annual gala on Saturday, April 18, at the Liberty House in Jersey City, New Jersey. Founded in 1966, this year's celebration marks a major milestone for the organization: its 60th anniversary.

For six decades, the council and its members have united to create memorable industry events and support charitable causes within the produce community. In addition to its philanthropic efforts, the council established a leadership program to cultivate the next generation of industry professionals.

Wonderful Pistachios has announced a collaboration with chef, TV personality and author Eitan Bernath in celebration of World Pistachio Day on Feb. 26. This partnership combines the brand’s No Shells Unsalted variety with Bernath’s culinary expertise to create an elevated, approachable pasta dish for home cooks: Lemon Butter Spaghetti with Whipped Pistachio Ricotta.

Vidalia Sweet Produce is a premium year-round onion packer/shipper that specializes in the production of Vidalia sweet onions and the packing and distribution year-round of reds, whites and yellows. The company also grows and ships approximately 400 loads of watermelons between June 15 and July 15. 

Southeast Produce Council’s Southern Exposure is an annual event for the company and one its leaders look forward to each year.
