With the opening of a new 62,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art cold storage, distribution and office facility in McAllen, TX, earlier this year, GR Fresh is poised for solid growth in the coming years.

SiCar Farms, a Mexican lime specialist with U.S. operations headquartered in McAllen, TX, continues to expand its product line by adding other commodities, including a more robust line-up of winter citrus.

If all goes as planned, the Pharr International Bridge in South Texas will have a companion bridge on which to carry produce into the United States by the end of 2023.

“We are expecting to break ground by the summer of 2022,” said Bridge Director Luis Bazán, who is employed by the City of Pharr. “It’s a 14-month construction project so that would bring us to late in 2023.”
