June 30 will mark the official date of the North Carolina SweetPotato Commission’s 60th anniversary and in celebration, there will be several “grand” initiatives revealed as the year develops. 

Nash Produce’s growers have both sweet potato and cucumber seed in the ground and are excited about the season ahead.

Last year obviously presented its challenges, but for Somerfield Farms, it was also a time of robust sales of blueberries, and Lee Kimball noted that trend is continuing well into 2021.

Vick Family Farms is entering its sweet potato planting season, and as always, is hoping for good weather to get the crop started.
