D’Arrigo New York has a long history with the New York Produce Show & Conference, and is ecstatic that the annual trade show in its “backyard” is offering a live and in-person experience this month.

New York Apple Association always touts the local nature of its offering when promoting in the region, consequently the New York Produce Show & Conference is a perfect fit for the group.

“We love this show,” said NYAA President and CEO Cynthia Haskins. “We go to a lot of different shows, but this is one we definitely don’t miss.”

With holiday demand in full swing at retail and showing gains for foodservice, Wada Farms Vice President Joe Esta said during Thanksgiving week that he and Tate Brooks, from Wada’s sales department, are looking forward to the New York Produce Show & Conference.

The New York Apple Association will once again be sponsoring the New York Road Runner’s premier event and the largest marathon in the world, the TCS New York City Marathon. Held annually on the first Sunday in November, the 26.2-mile race runs through the five boroughs of New York City.

As October winds down so too does the New York apple harvest. The crop is expected to be on par with the five-year average that offers plenty of promotional opportunities for Northeast retailers.

It’s rare for a company to have workers who are lifelong employees, but Fowler Farms is paying tribute to six employees who have worked at least 30 years on the farm, in the packinghouse or at the customer service center.
