With greater emphasis and importance placed on sustainability efforts from organic growers and the grocery community, industry leaders will examine how the organic fresh produce industry is addressing the obstacles, opportunities and the future of sustainability in the third Organic Produce Summit 2022 educational session.
 

The Texas International Produce Association announced the inaugural Viva Fresh Winery Tour in nearby Grapevine during this year’s event on April 21. Sponsored by Sunfed and Lakeway, the tour will serve as an alternative to Viva’s already popular golf outing.

Following a rousing keynote address by Tim Tebow, the buzz on the show floor was immediate, palpable  — and lasting — as it remained busy until closing.

One of the most popular events at the Southeast Produce Council’s Southern Exposure has become the Power of Produce session, hosted by Anne-Marie Roerink of 210 Analytics and Rick Stein, vice president of fresh foods for FMI.

ORLANDO, FL — The produce industry gathered in force the first week in March at the Southeast Produce Council's Southern Exposure 2022 conference and trade show to celebrate "The Marvel of Produce" and reconnect in person with colleagues and friends. For many attendees, it was the first time they had seen one another in a couple of years, as the worst of the COVID-19 pandemic finally seems to be in the rearview mirror. This year's event drew more than 2,800 registrations, including more than 500 retail, foodservice, wholesale buyers.
