The flourishing development of Controlled Environment Agriculture and how retailers and consumers view this emerging segment of fresh produce production will be the topic of an educational session at Organic Produce Summit 2021.

Jim Donald, Albertson’s Co-Chairman and one of most admired CEOs in the world, will be a featured keynote presenter at the fifth annual Organic Produce Summit (OPS), joining retail industry veteran Kevin Coupe for a provocative and engaging conversation about the future of the food industry,  and the role organics will play for consumers and the retail community.

On the heels of one of the most challenging and demanding years in the history of the fresh produce industry, leaders from the production and retail side of business will explore what lies ahead for the future of organic fresh produce in the second of four educational sessions at Organic Produce Summit 2021.

Nicolas Jammet and Jonathan Neman, co-founders and co-CEOs of nationally acclaimed fast causal restaurant chain sweetgreen, have been confirmed as the first of two keynote presenters at the fifth annual Organic Produce Summit this September in Monterey, CA.

Sweetgreen was founded in August 2007 by Jammet, Neman and Nathaniel Ru three months after they graduated from Georgetown University's undergraduate business school. Recognized as one of the nation’s most progressive food companies, sweetgreen has over 120 locations across the United States, and more than 3,500 employees.

An examination and discussion of the burgeoning growth of indoor grown fresh produce, and its impact on organically grown fruits and vegetables will be the topic of the first of four educational sessions at Organic Produce Summit 2021. Growth of CEA and Its Impact on Organic Fresh Produce will feature leaders from three progressive Controlled Environment Agriculture producers, offering their insight on the growth of this emerging market segment and how these products are reshaping the landscape of fresh food production.
