Jordan Carter, director of sales and marketing, told The Produce News July 23 that weather cooperated for the early-season harvest out of Florida, but the Georgia deal was beset with adverse weather, including two significant hail storms that took a toll on the crop.

The Secaucus, NJ-based company, under its AuerPak brand, specializes in garlic, shallots and other specialty items, including tropical and Asian produce, as well as organic garlic, asparagus, ginger and tofu.

All of the company’s main products will be showcased at the upcoming New England Produce Council’s annual Produce, Floral, and Food Service Expo.

The New Jersey Department of Agriculture is looking forward to the 2024 NEPC show as New England is the second largest market for Jersey Fresh fruits and vegetables outside of the immediate tri-state market of New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.

EVERETT, MA — The produce industry came to New England in late August to see the latest products and services at the New England Produce Council's Produce, Floral & Food Service Expo 2023, its premier event.

This year's annual event was held Monday, Aug. 21, and Tuesday, Aug. 22 at the Encore Boston Harbor, here, a new venue for the council. The council also surprised attendees by unveiling its brand new logo.
