AFE welcomes Lori Ostrow

The American Floral Endowment, based in Alexandria, VA, announced Lori Ostrow as its new communications specialist, according to a news release. Ostrow will work closely with AFE Executive Director Debi Aker on media relations, social media engagement, the quarterly bulletin, donor cultivation and website management.

Before joining AFE, Ostrow managed CBS Radio’s local Washington news website and she also previously worked for three years as a digital producer for APN News and Media in Queensland, Australia.

Ostrow was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, and graduated from Goucher College in Maryland with a degree in communications and media studies. She enjoys hiking and exploring Old Town Alexandria and is excited to learn more about the floral industry.

The AFE is an independent nonprofit organization that funds research and scholarships in floriculture and environmental horticulture for the benefit of growers, wholesalers, retailers, allied industry organizations and the general public.
