Mountain View names three new execs
Mountain View Fruit Sales & Cold Storage has named three additional National Account Executives: Brian Polson, Carlos Acuña and Ryan Easter.
“We are excited and energized by the creativity, vision and passion Brian, Carlos, and Ryan bring to our team as we continue to grow,” said Pat Steider, president of Mountain View Fruit Sales. “Their knowledge of business development, data analysis, logistics, retail, and merchandising will be incredibly valuable to both our customers and our growers.”
Polson was raised on a family farm in Kansas, where he gained an early understanding of the direct relationship between the grower and how they impact the food supply chain. He studied at Kansas State’s College of Business Administration with an emphasis on marketing and economics, graduating in 2009. After interning with Robinson Fresh during college, he then began a full-time role as a sales representative in Eden Prairie, MN. In 2016 he was promoted to category manager, using his skills in grower relations, logistics, and inventory management to market both imported and domestic supplies of table grapes and other fruits.
Acuña grew up on a family farm only a couple miles from Mountain View, where he and his brother still farm tree fruit today. He began his career at Mountain View in 2009 in the quality assurance department specializing in monitoring ripeness and customers’ quality specifications for peaches, plums, and nectarines. He moved to Kingsburg Orchards where he was promoted to sales assistant and quickly climbed to become a national account executive. He has over 12 years of experience in the produce industry, with more than 10 years on a sales team.
Easter is the fourth generation in his family to work in grocery or produce, with his great-grandfather, grandfather and father all holding senior leadership positions. He was born in Missouri and studied communication at University of Kansas School of Business. After graduating in 2009, Easter became regional marketing manager at Sage Fruit, and in 2019 was promoted to director of business development. He traveled the country meeting customers, learning their needs, visiting stores, and providing excellent customer service, which contributed to numerous Vendor of the Year Awards for accounts he serviced.
