J&C Tropicals hires Ray Mason for new business development
J&C Tropicals added Ray Mason as the newest member of its business development team. Mason brings over 25 years of experience in the produce industry, with a strong background in greenhouse-grown products, sales, procurement and logistics.
Mason’s journey in the produce industry began in the late 1990s with Farmers Premium Produce in Nebraska, where he started as a warehouse manager before quickly moving up the ranks into procurement, logistics and sales. Over the years, he held key roles at Lakeside Produce and Red Sun Farms, where he worked closely with major retailers, wholesalers and foodservice providers, helping expand their reach and product offerings.
His extensive expertise and deep understanding of the produce supply chain make him a valuable asset to J&C Tropicals. “I’m thrilled to join J&C Tropicals and be part of a company that is driving growth in the tropicals segment,” said Mason. “There’s a tremendous opportunity to educate customers about the benefits of tropical produce and introduce them to exciting new flavors that can enhance their everyday meals. I look forward to helping J&C Tropicals expand its reach and connect with the right customers who share our vision.”
In his new role, Mason will focus on identifying and developing key business relationships to grow J&C Tropicals’ presence in the marketplace. His strategic approach will include casting a wide net to explore new opportunities while honing in on the right partners that align with the company’s mission and values.
“Ray’s vast industry experience and passion for produce make him the perfect addition to our team,” said Adrian Capote, vice president of sales and procurement at J&C Tropicals. “His ability to build relationships, understand market needs and drive sales growth will be instrumental in furthering our commitment to delivering high-quality tropical produce to more customers.”
