CHERRY HILL, NJ — Fresh produce importer and distributor Sbrocco International Inc. was a key sponsor at a charity basketball event Saturday, April 20, and Sunday, April 21, at a venue just a short distance from the company's headquarters here in southwestern New Jersey.
The event was the eighth Sussman 3-on-3 Tournament Weekend, during which a series of basketball games were held at the

The basketball event was started in memory of Andy and Eric Sussman, brothers who lost separate battles to cancer a number of years ago.
About 1,000 people — attendees, players and sponsors — were expected to take part in the event.
Harold Sbrocco, president of Mt. Laurel, NJ-based Sbrocco International, and his wife, Vicki, set up an attractive display of Chilean grapes and apples with the company's "Good 4 U" label at the event and distributed about 1,500 samples during the weekend, Mr. Sbrocco told The Produce News.
The event honors Andy Sussman, who died in September 1993 at the age of 28, and Eric Sussman, who died in December 2000 at the age of 33.
"They loved basketball. This is a great way to honor them," said Andy Finberg, a friend of the Sussman family who also is Harold and Vicki's son-in-law. "We've had phenomenal sponsors. We couldn't do it without them. We will probably raise in excess of $50,000."
