Domex lends a helping hand at WSHA
Domex Superfresh Growers lent a helping hand at the 108th annual meeting of the Washington State Horticultural Association, which was recently held in Yakima, WA, Dec. 3-5. It provided speakers and panelists for four of the education programs in addition to sponsoring the social and cocktail hour Monday evening and the cherry educational session on Wednesday morning.
Jeff Webb, export sales manager, spoke on the topic of cherry exports and their importance. Robert Kershaw, president, contributed his thoughts on Rainier cherries this year and its future. Down the hall, Howard Nager, vice president of marketing, was discussing retail merchandising of the Pacific Northwest pear crop.
Frank Davis, vice president of business development, spoke to a group of FFA students sponsored by the Washington Agricultural Education Foundation. He addressed building and maintaining successful relationships with customers in foreign nations, and he shared his experiences about how U.S. producers negotiate through these potentially delicate situations.
Domex Superfresh Growers continues to support ongoing educational efforts of the Pacific Northwest agricultural communities as well as working aggressively on its mission to connect growers with the end consumer.
