Del Monte Fresh launches fresh avocado pulp four-pack
Del Monte is now offering 100-percent fresh Hass avocado pulp in a convenient four-pack of two-ounce cups. The new value-added Hass avocado product is available for national distribution.
As fresh avocado consumption continues to increase and as more consumers become familiar with its great taste and nutritional benefits, they are beginning to demand the fruit in an assortment of formats and on menus nationwide. With its delicious, creamy flavor, “Del Monte Fresh” Hass avocado pulp is a ready-to-eat and preservative and additive-free avocado product that can be enjoyed in a variety of ways. The convenient two-ounce cups are perfect for consumers on the go and just the right size for a quick sandwich spread, a school lunchbox or a single-serve dip.
Each
four-pack has colorful, high graphics, nutrition information and a QR code that customers can scan to get recipe and usage ideas.
“Avocado and fresh guacamole products have seen incredible growth in the last few years and there is still room for development,” Dennis Christou, vice president of marketing N.A., said in a press release. “The ‘Del Monte Fresh’ Hass avocado pulp four-pack is the perfect complement to our already popular whole Hass avocados. It is great for consumers who live fast-paced lives and don’t have time to prepare an avocado but still want that great fresh Hass avocado taste and nutritional benefits. It will also help initiate trial for those who may never have purchased avocados before and are not quite sure about how to pick, prepare or use them. We really see these value-added avocado products as a way to help increase sales and consumption for the entire avocado category.”
Del Monte Fresh Hass avocado pulp was recently given the Superior Taste Award with the maximum three stars by the International Taste & Quality Institute. It is also available in a two-pound pouch, an eight-ounce plastic tub and other packaging and sizing upon request.
The Del Monte two-ounce four-pack and other Del Monte Fresh Hass avocado products will be on display at the Del Monte Fresh booth (#2602) during the Produce Marketing Association’s Fresh Summit in Anaheim, CA.
