Misionero unveils new carton design
Misionero Vegetables has unveiled a new carton design for its products, marking a new direction for the Gonzales, CA-based company as it aligns its corporate "Misionero" brand with its "Earth Greens Organics" and "Garden Life" brands.
"This endeavor began over two years when we rebranded our 'Garden Life' consumer brand and added the wave to our labels," Alicia Blanco, marketing manager, said in a press release. "We identified an
opportunity to create a consistent look across all of our brands. This project required company-wide collaboration."
In addition to aligning the brands, Misionero focused on its sustainability efforts.
"We were able consolidate cartons, reduce inks and move 95 percent of our products to a Kraft carton," Dan Canales, vice president of sales and marketing, added in the press release. "We were able to reduce our carbon footprint by increasing palletization across all SKUs, resulting in optimized freight costs for our customers."
Each branded carton is now represented by a color block. The "Misionero" branded carton, used for foodservice items, has a green color that ties into its corporate logo. The "Earth Greens Organics" carton can be identified by red, and the "Garden Life" conventional carton is black. The carton transition will be completed by the end of the year.
