Awe Sum unveils new logo, will relaunch website
Awe Sum Organics, a Santa Cruz, CA-based importer and shipper of a wide range of organic fruits, has unveiled a new logo and will relaunch its website in mid-October.
Founded by David Posner, who serves as president and chief executive officer, Awe Sum has been in business promoting sustainability through organic agriculture since 1985. As one of the larger organic fruit suppliers in North America, the firm mainly represents growers from the Southern Hemisphere so that retailers in North America can have a steady, year-round supply of fresh, flavorful organic fruit.
"W
e are extremely excited about the new direction our company is taking," Elizabeth Posner, director of marketing at Awe Sum Organics, said in a press release. "We wanted our logo to say more about what we do and who we are without losing any of the identity of our past 27 years in business."
Ms. Posner said that the company is looking to build a stronger presence with both consumers and its own customers, and the new logo coupled with the launch of a new interactive website will help achieve that goal.
"At this point, consumer awareness is key," she said. "Building brand recognition and using social media outreach allows us to be front and center with our customers and consumers. As North America's largest importer of organic apples, and a major supplier of organic kiwifruit, blueberries, pears and other organic fruits, the time is now for creating more awareness on a consumer level."
The goal for the launch of the new interactive web site is Oct. 15. The website will be geared mainly toward buyers and growers with a consumer callout featuring links to Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter and YouTube. Users will be able to read about Awe Sum's social initiatives, such as its Fair For Life programs, as well as scan news articles, use an interactive availability calendar to find out what is in season. Additionally, visitors will be able to learn more about Awe Sum's growers and their products.
