Rainier continues harvest of large, sweet, organic blueberries
Blueberry season is far from over in Washington state. Rainier Fruit Co. continues to harvest Northwest blueberries through early October. "Many retailers hav
e experienced frustration finding quality blueberries this time of year," Suzanne Wolter, director of marketing at Rainier, said in a press release.
Washington's ideal summer growing conditions combined with the late-season Aurora variety from Rainier yields an exceptionally long blueberry harvest period. These late season berries are intensely flavored, abundant and arriving to rave customer reviews all across the United States and Canada.
Rainier's organic blueberries are produced on approximately 500 acres of family-owned acreage featuring excellent size, firmness and flavor.
