“Neovation is a specialized traceability system created to aid clients such as local producers and packers,” said Neova President Jonathan Cyr. “Our system offers enterprise and manufacturing resource planning as well as customer relationship management. Their many tools include NeoMobile, offering direct access and control of multiple business operations and NeoDash, a personalized dashboard available via a mobile app.
“We currently have a staff of about 15 and are mostly servicing clients in Quebec. We foresee and are planning for growth in Canada in the future,” said Mr. Cyr.
Neova’s clients currently include, among others, fruit & vegetable growers, importers, distributors, wholesalers and processors, dairy, packaging and their core base, floral. Their traceability system manages inventories for highly perishable products.
“There have been big changes in traceability systems, particularly given today’s mobile technology. Thanks in part to smart phones — what marvels — now we know what is happening in real time and at all times. An innovative traceability system is key,” concluded Mr. Cyr.
“As the principal consultant, I’m in charge of sales management and the system architecture. When we first meet with a client, we visit their warehouse, analyze current practices, outline current tasks and then target solutions to improve productivity and reduce errors.”
“Coming up with creative ideas, researching the appropriate methodology, and implementing the right solutions for our clients in a very quick time frame is our strength,” he said. “Today, everything has to be done well and done rapidly.”
“We work to optimize and improve the complete inventory chain to ensure efficient and correct workflow. For one client, this meant developing a mobile system using iPods that allowed the client to be more productive and message in real time,” Mr. Cyr said. “The team leader didn’t have to run around anymore shouting over heavy equipment to be heard. It improved accuracy and productivity.”
The Neova team is currently developing a new website and expected it to launch in the coming weeks.
