Dan Gaspar has joined Domex in Yakima, WA, as its new head of quality assurance and safety.
He brings more than 27 years of experience and a wealth of knowledge to the Domex team as it continues to evolve.

"The world has gotten more sophisticated; today's growers are not merely farmers but business people and food-safety experts," stated company President Robert Kershaw. This is true of todays warehouses as well. You need a food-safety department and proper food-safety procedures if you are expected to not only survive but thrive in todays market place. [Mr.] Gaspars experience with food safety and quality control was a natural fit for our growing emphasis on this topic.
Mr. Gaspar graduated in 1978 from Washington State University with a degree in agriculture. He has held positions as operations manager, general manager and quality control manager for Dovex, Peshastin Hi-Up Growers and Bluebird. His extensive tree fruit industry background includes quality control for both conventional and organic programs.
He has implemented quality control programs at several warehouses that not only take into account the quality of the fruit but also overall warehouse safety for workers. Mr. Gaspar has also focused on export programs and has developed procedures for several countries, including Mexico certification.
