Grallert joins Santa Sweets
Santa Sweets Inc., based in Plant City, FL, has hired Christopher Grallert as its senior vice president of marketing and sales.
"Our 'Santa Sweets' and UglyRipe brands have grown fantastically over the years," said Don Long, president of Santa Sweets. With new products on the frontier, we welcome the expertise Christopher Grallert will provide in helping structure Santa Sweets expected growth.
With two decades of experience in the fresh produce industry, Mr. Grallert comes to Santa Sweets after working with Dulcinea Farms LLC, first as director of sales, and most recently as director of operations, where he oversaw all production and logistics for the United States, Mexico and Central America.
Mr. Grallert had worked with Dulcinea since its inception and was a critical component in its growth, particularly in developing a strategic roadmap for the production and improvement of all Dulcinea products. His previous position was as business development manager for Syngenta Seeds Inc. (a partner in Dulcinea), where he was charged with the discovery and commercialization of Dulcineas current products.
Mr. Grallert has had the unique opportunity to market the consumer-branded tomato initiatives. He also carries extensive experience in the greenhouse tomato business, since the early years of this industry, along with consumer branding fresh produce at retail. Complementing his experience are his degrees in fruit and vegetable production, and sustainable agriculture. Mr. Grallert will be responsible for managing and structuring a more customer- and consumer-driven approach to the current line of products and broadening Santa Sweets distribution channels.
Santa Sweets has built an outstanding team and a great product portfolio with a lot of hard work and dedication, said Mr. Grallert. I look forward to this new chapter in my career and supporting the Santa Sweets organization moving forward.
Santa Sweets, whose ownership is common with that of Procacci Bros. Sales Corp., is based in Plant City, FL.
