Pride of San Juan celebrates facility upgrades
San Juan Bautista, CA-based Pride of San Juan has completed additions to its headquarters that add upwards of 112,000 square feet, bringing the total facility size to 178,000 square feet.
The move consolidates San Juan Bautista-area operations under one roof; storage of bell peppers and dry vegetables had been done in nearby Hollister, and a warehouse on the PSJ ranch had been used prior to the consolidation. About 100,000 square feet of additional space were used for cooler and production operations.
The company added more salad-processing lines and some new equipment that PSJ Sales Manager Dan Holt called "some of the newest production technology out there."
We increased production by 40 percent on the new lines, Mr. Holt said.
Media and members of PSJ's regional broker network visited the facility July 26. Mr. Holt said that the diversity of PSJs entire Emerils gourmet line was exciting for attendees.
PSJ also added 20 new state-of-the-art greenhouses at its headquarters. In November, the company completed an addition of 70,000 square feet to its facility in Yuma, AZ.
