Measure to Improve, a sustainability consulting firm focused exclusively on the fresh produce industry, launched two new solutions—service offerings designed to help produce companies meet growing reporting and regulatory expectations: the Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventory Solution and the EPR Readiness Solution.
These solutions expand Measure to Improve’s sustainability offerings in response to increasing greenhouse gas disclosure expectations and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) packaging regulations across the supply chain.
Measure to Improve developed these solutions specifically for the fresh produce industry, with an understanding of how companies operate from growing and harvesting to packing, processing and supply chain coordination, where information often sits across multiple parts of the business.
The Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventory Solution helps companies build a credible, well-documented emissions inventory that supports buyer requests, sustainability reporting and future climate disclosure requirements. The focus is on creating a structured, repeatable process so emissions can be measured and managed year after year.
The EPR Readiness Solution helps produce companies prepare for expanding packaging reporting requirements under state EPR laws. These programs require companies to track packaging materials, register with Producer Responsibility Organizations and, in many cases, contribute fees tied to packaging volumes. The Solution helps organizations understand what information is required, identify where that information exists internally, and prepare teams for reporting obligations.
