Kapi Kapi Growers focused on environment, social, governance priorities
Kapi Kapi Growers published its first sustainability report, highlighting clear objectives, goals and metrics to further enhance its commitment to environmental, social and governance priorities that support the communities and environments where it operates.
The critical objectives identified in Kapi Kapi’s 2025–30 ESG strategy are based on stakeholder input and diagnostic analysis. Metrics focus on measuring and reducing the company’s impact on water consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, training and learning, and compliance.
Kapi Kapi is excited to share its ESG efforts using Global Reporting Initiative metrics. “This approach will allow us to communicate ongoing monitoring and management of our sustainability objectives and metrics,” said Sofia Acon, president of Kapi Kapi Growers. “We believe this will provide a solid foundation to enhance our sustainability efforts and help us better support our communities, workforce and organization.”
A few of the milestones highlighted under the environmental impact pillar include a renewable energy project and implementation of water conservation technology. The company’s social impact includes, among many things, partnerships with local schools to provide books, company-wide health initiatives, and women empowerment workshops. Governance milestones includes 100 percent supplier and employee social compliance. The full 80-page report can be found at https://www.kapigrowers.com/sustainability/.
