Instacart and 1-800-Flowers.com have announced a nationwide partnership that allows customers across the United States to order fresh flowers and gifts for on-demand delivery through the Instacart app, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
Instacart, a grocery technology company, said 1-800-Flowers.com Inc. is its first nationwide pure-play floral partner. The collaboration enables customers to shop directly from 1-800-Flowers.com through the Instacart app, with delivery available from more than 700 participating florist locations in the company’s network. The partnership expands Instacart’s product assortment ahead of Valentine’s Day, one of the busiest floral gifting holidays of the year.
“We are excited to welcome 1-800-Flowers.com to the Instacart app to offer our customers convenient access to fresh flowers,” said Blake Wallace, vice president of retail partnerships at Instacart. “This partnership provides more flexibility and variety for sending gifts to family, friends and loved ones, with the speed and reliability customers expect from Instacart.”
Jon Feldman, chief commercial officer at 1-800-Flowers.com, said the partnership supports the company’s mission to help people connect through gifting while expanding access to its floral offerings.
“By bringing our floral and gifting collection to the Instacart app in partnership with our local florist network, we are supporting local merchants and meeting customers where they already shop,” Feldman said.
The partnership reflects growing demand for seasonal items on the Instacart platform. According to Instacart purchase data from 2025, orders containing combination flower bouquets and fresh-cut roses increased more than tenfold on Feb. 14.
Customers can begin preordering specialty bouquets starting Feb. 9. Same-day delivery will be available through the evening of Feb. 14 in select markets. Beyond Valentine’s Day, customers can schedule floral deliveries up to five days in advance or place on-demand orders as needed.
Instacart said 1-800-Flowers.com will offer products on the app with no markup. Customers can access the storefront through the Instacart app or at instacart.com/store/1-800-flowers.
