Total Experience Produce entering 2026 with expanded product line
Total Experience Produce, which specializes in pineapples and other tropical fruits from Mexico, is entering the new year with a new packing facility that will allow it to dramatically increase pineapple production. It also has plans to add other tropical items to its lineup.
Total Experience’s roots lie within the Origen group, which brings together more than 15 years of agricultural expertise through companies such as Piñas y Limones del Golfo, Piñas del Pacífico and Viva Papaya. These operations span Mexico’s most strategic growing regions, from the Pacific coast in Colima to the fertile Gulf region of Veracruz, allowing for year-round production and unmatched supply reliability.
Pineapple—specifically the MD2 variety—stands at the heart of the operation, with peak volumes reaching up to 400 tons per week, supported by a rapidly expanding papaya program to meet the rising demand in the United States and Canada.
In 2023, Total Experience Produce was officially founded to unify and strengthen the marketing efforts of the Origen group. This marked a turning point from simply growing produce to delivering a complete, integrated experience to retailers and partners.
By aligning production, logistics, branding and customer service, Total Experience has positioned itself as a reliable partner capable of planning short-, medium- and long-term programs with major retailers across North America.
“We value building lasting business relationships and partnerships,” said Flavio Peña, sales manager. “We understand that our customers need quality and availability at a competitive price, but we also recognize the importance of having the support of a strong brand. This allows us to collaborate on programs that meet market needs and remain open to innovative proposals, such as packaging innovation, launching well-planned promotions, or achieving savings through more efficient logistics.”
Defining moment
A defining milestone came in early 2025 with the launch of a state-of-the-art pineapple packing facility in Ciudad Isla, Veracruz. This investment doubled packing capacity, reduced dependence on third-party services and significantly improved quality control.
With greater oversight of post-harvest processes, Total Experience has strengthened its ability to deliver fruit that meets strict standards for freshness, flavor, size and presentation—key factors in remaining competitive in an increasingly demanding market.
“With this new packing facility, we have reaffirmed our commitment to improving packing processes, and by applying technology, best practices and expertise in the field, we will become even more competitive,” said Peña.
Under its “Good News” brand, the company has seen increased recognition among customers who value consistency and trust. Beyond conventional offerings, Total Experience has expanded into organic papaya, reflecting evolving consumer preferences and reinforcing its commitment to innovation and market awareness.
Facing challenges such as rising labor, logistics and transportation costs, the company views collaboration as essential.
By forming strategic alliances and integrating the value chain more efficiently, Total Experience focuses on cost optimization while maintaining fair wages and building skilled, experienced teams and recognizing that people are as critical as the fruit itself.
Looking ahead, the company remains both realistic and optimistic. Climate variability and political uncertainty may disrupt traditional supply patterns, but they also create opportunities for prepared, adaptable producers like Total Experience. The company is actively investing in field improvements to increase yields per hectare, targeting 15 percent growth in pineapple production by 2026, and expanding its portfolio with mangos, plantains, Persian limes and other tropical products requested by customers.
With an eye on future markets, including potential expansion into Europe and Asia, Total Experience continues to evolve.
“Our ongoing focus is to understand our customers’ needs, stay vigilant regarding industry competition, and consistently reinvent our business practices,” said Peña. “These core principles are essential for sustaining progress and achieving long-term growth in our sector.”
Born from the land, shaped by experience and driven by the goal to bring consistently high-quality Mexican tropical produce to global markets while building long-term partnerships across the value chain, Total Experience Produce is ready to establish is presence key supplier of tropical fruits from Mexico.
