1-800-FLOWERS.COM appoints Alex Zelikovsky chief information officer
1-800-FLOWERS.COM Inc. announced the appointment of Alex Zelikovsky as chief information officer, a move aimed at advancing the company’s digital transformation strategy under CEO Adolfo Villagomez.
As CIO, Zelikovsky will lead the company’s enterprise technology strategy, overseeing IT applications and platforms, data architecture and management, cybersecurity and business intelligence. He will also support artificial intelligence initiatives and business optimization efforts designed to enhance customer experiences and drive omnichannel growth. Zelikovsky will report directly to Villagomez.

Zelikovsky brings more than 25 years of technology leadership experience transforming traditional businesses into digital enterprises. Most recently, he served as executive vice president and global CIO at Pitney Bowes. He previously held divisional CIO and head of digital technology roles at Kimberly-Clark in the EMEA and Latin America regions, where he led IT transformation strategies that supported business turnarounds and operating profit growth.

Earlier in his career, Zelikovsky led the development of Bed Bath & Beyond’s omnichannel technology strategy and played a key role in building its multibillion-dollar digital commerce business. He also worked at Amazon.com during the development of its global distribution network and has held senior technology and operations roles at Procter & Gamble and Sephora, part of LVMH.
Zelikovsky holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a bachelor’s degree from Brooklyn College, part of the City University of New York. He is the author of “Achieving Stretch Goals Efficiently” and has served as an adjunct professor at Purdue University’s Krannert School of Management, where he developed and taught a graduate course in e-commerce strategy and operations.
