PanAmerican Seed celebrates retirement of Sjaak Ros after nearly 43 years
At PanAmerican Seed, growth extends beyond flowers to the people who shape the company. The organization is honoring the career of Sjaak Ros, area manager, who is retiring after nearly 43 years of service.
Ros joined PanAmerican Seed in 1983 as an account controller after earning a degree in economics and business administration from HEAO. Initially focused on finance, his career soon shifted into sales — a transition that would define his professional path.
What began as an inside role sending quotes by telex evolved into a global sales career built on personal relationships and trust. Ros worked closely with customers across multiple regions, including South Africa and Israel, becoming a valued partner and ambassador for PanAmerican Seed.
Throughout the 1990s and 2000s, Ros navigated significant changes in the industry, adapting to shifting markets and advancing technology. Colleagues and customers alike recognized him for his integrity, adaptability and people-first approach.
After more than four decades with the company, Ros retires as area manager, leaving a legacy defined by long-standing relationships, innovation and a commitment to growth.
“The best part of this industry is that it’s a human one,” Ros said. “PanAmerican Seed gave me the opportunity to grow, and I’m proud to have been part of this family for more than 40 years.”
PanAmerican Seed thanked Ros for his dedication and contributions and wished him well in his retirement.
